Question 1

What areas does HVVIP Courier Services cover?

Accepted Answer

HVVIP Courier Services operates nationwide across the United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We are based in Barwell, Leicestershire, and can collect from any UK postcode within 90 minutes of booking.

Question 2

How quickly can you collect my parcel?

Accepted Answer

For same-day bookings, our target collection time is within 90 minutes of your booking being confirmed. For advance bookings, we collect at your specified time. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Question 3

What vehicle types do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We operate a fleet of seven vehicle types: Car, Small Van, Medium Wheelbase Van (MWB), Long Wheelbase Van (LWB), Extra Long Wheelbase Van (XLWB), Luton Van, and Luton Van with Tail Lift. Each vehicle is liveried with HVVIP branding and GPS-tracked.

Question 4

How is the price calculated?

Accepted Answer

Pricing is based on the vehicle type and distance in miles between collection and delivery postcodes. A minimum charge applies per journey. Advance bookings (scheduled for a future date) receive a 15% discount on the standard rate.

Question 5

Do you offer a discount for advance bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bookings scheduled for a future date receive a 15% discount on the standard per-mile rate and minimum charge. This advance booking rate is applied automatically when you select a future collection date in our online booking system.

Question 6

Can businesses open an account with HVVIP?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer business accounts for companies with regular courier requirements. Account holders benefit from invoice billing (no upfront payment per job), a volume-based loyalty rebate of up to 10% per month, and a dedicated booking portal. Apply online at hvvipcourierservices.co.uk/business/apply.

Question 7

What is the business account loyalty rebate?

Accepted Answer

Business account holders earn a monthly rebate based on total jobs booked that month: 5% for 6–15 jobs, 7% for 16–30 jobs, 8% for 31–50 jobs, and 10% for 51 or more jobs. The rebate is credited at the end of each billing period.

Question 8

Do you carry medical or legal items?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide specialist courier services for medical samples, pharmaceutical supplies, legal documents, and court bundles. Our drivers follow strict chain-of-custody procedures and are available 24/7 for time-critical medical and legal deliveries.

Question 9

Is live tracking available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All HVVIP vehicles are GPS-tracked. Once your booking is confirmed and your driver is en route, you can track your delivery in real time using your booking reference at hvvipcourierservices.co.uk/track.

Question 10

How do I get a quote and book?

Accepted Answer

You can get an instant online quote and book in minutes at hvvipcourierservices.co.uk/quote. Enter your collection and delivery postcodes, select your vehicle type, and our system will calculate the price using live Google Maps routing. Payment is taken securely via Stripe.

Question 11

Do you operate on bank holidays and weekends?

Accepted Answer

Yes. HVVIP Courier Services operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including weekends, bank holidays, and Christmas Day. Please note that time and day surcharges apply to reflect out-of-hours operations. Only the highest applicable surcharge is charged — they do not stack. Current surcharge rates: Evening 18:00–21:59 +20%; Late Night 22:00–05:59 +40%; Saturday +20%; Sunday +30%; Bank Holiday +30%; Christmas Day +100%. For example, a Sunday late-night booking attracts the Late Night surcharge of +40% only, as it is the higher of the two. All surcharges are shown clearly at the time of booking.

Question 12

What is the difference between same-day and advance booking?

Accepted Answer

A same-day booking is for collection today. An advance booking is scheduled for a future date and time of your choosing, and qualifies for a 15% discount. For same-day bookings made after 18:00, or advance bookings with a collection time before 10:30, a Transport Manager reviews and confirms the booking before it is processed.

Question 13

Do you provide proof of delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every HVVIP delivery includes a proof of delivery (POD) record. Business account holders can access delivery confirmations through their account portal. If you require a signed POD or photographic evidence of delivery, please note this in the booking instructions when placing your order.

Question 14

Are my goods insured during transit?

Accepted Answer

All HVVIP vehicles carry goods-in-transit insurance as standard. If you are sending high-value items, we recommend declaring the value at the time of booking and confirming cover with our dispatch team at dispatch@hvvipcourierservices.co.uk before collection.

Question 15

Is there a maximum parcel or load size?

Accepted Answer

Maximum load size depends on the vehicle selected. Our Car is suitable for parcels up to approximately 50kg. Small and medium vans handle standard pallets and larger freight. Our Luton Van with Tail Lift is suited to heavy or bulky items that require mechanical loading. Use the vehicle guide on our fleet page or contact us if you are unsure which vehicle to choose.

Question 16

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Online bookings are paid securely via Stripe, which accepts all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Business account holders are invoiced monthly and do not pay upfront per job.

Question 17

Can I cancel or amend a booking?

Accepted Answer

To cancel or amend a booking, please contact our dispatch team as soon as possible by phone on 07918 636800 or by email at dispatch@hvvipcourierservices.co.uk, quoting your booking reference. Cancellation terms depend on how close to the scheduled collection time the request is made.

Question 18

Why has my booking been placed on hold for manager approval?

Accepted Answer

Certain bookings require review by our Transport Manager before confirmation: same-day bookings placed after 18:00, and advance bookings with a collection time before 10:30. When this applies, you will see a 'Booking Held — Call to Confirm' screen with your reference number and a direct call button. Our team will confirm the booking promptly.

Question 19

Do you offer multi-drop or multi-collection deliveries?

Accepted Answer

For multi-drop or multi-collection requirements, please contact our dispatch team directly on 07918 636800 or at dispatch@hvvipcourierservices.co.uk. We will provide a tailored quote based on your route and vehicle requirements.
